This MPV was developed by Renault's Romanian subsidiary, Dacia, and was first introduced at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2012. It is front-wheel drive and offers a choice of four-cylinder engines. It is manufactured in Morocco and India and is considered an alternative to the Logan MCV.

The Renault Lodgy offers family-car features and debuted in March 2016 at the Formula Automech exhibition. It is available in four versions in Egypt as 2017 models.

E1 - MT, priced at 185,000 Egyptian pounds.

E1 - AT, priced at 211,000 Egyptian pounds.

E2 - AT, priced at 221,000 Egyptian pounds.

E2 - E2 The NAV is priced at EGP 235,000.

Prices subsequently rose to EGP 271,000, EGP 287,000, and EGP 296,000 for the top-of-the-range model.

The car topped MPV sales in Egypt in the first half of 2017, with a 44.4% market share, outperforming the Kia Sorento, Opel Meriva, and Toyota Avanza.

The car has a 1600 cc, 4-cylinder, 16-valve petrol engine with 110 hp and 148 Nm of torque. Both versions of the car offered in Egypt are equipped with a manual transmission, along with a 1600cc, 8-valve petrol engine producing 90 hp at 5,500 rpm and 131 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. The car is also available with an automatic transmission, a 50-liter fuel tank, and a top speed of 170 km/h. The car achieves good fuel consumption despite its size and capacity, at 6.2 liters per 100 km, and it runs on 92 octane fuel. Because it's an MPV focused on carrying passengers, its engine isn't high-performance, and it doesn't accelerate well, but rather slowly, reaching 100 km/h in 12.7 seconds. The car also has an advantage among customers who regularly log long distances, as the car isn't very heavy, so there's no stress on the engine, making it very similar to regular sedans in terms of ease of use. The car is 4.498 meters long, 2.004 meters wide, and 1.680 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.810 meters. The car has a 207-liter trunk capacity, expanding to 1,861 liters with the third-row rear seats folded. The car seats seven passengers in three rows.

The cabin includes numerous storage spaces in the front and rear doors, with front and rear cupholders for the six passengers in the car, along with front armrests. It also features rear seatbelts and a trunk light. Some owners have reported that the seats are not spacious enough, and despite the leather upholstery, the seats are fixed in place, thus lacking a sliding mechanism that would have made the cabin more flexible. There is ample storage space inside the cabin, and with the third row folded, the trunk space is more than you need. The ride is also very good.

The only drawback of the car's spacious interior is the manual folding of the rear seats, rather than the electric folding, in addition to the lack of legroom in the second row of seats.
