The Hyundai Bayon is a small subcompact crossover SUV that debuted in Egypt in December 2021 as a 2022 model. It was launched in the local market in four trim levels: Spirit: EGP 299,000 Dynamic: EGP 325,000 Elite: EGP 345,000 Ultimate: EGP 365,000 The Hyundai Bayon is produced at Hyundai's plant in Turkey and was inspired by the third-generation Hyundai i20. It can be said that it is a crossover version of the i20, competing with models such as the Opel Crossland, MG ZS, and Jeep Renegade. It's primarily a youthful car, especially due to its two-tone color scheme and distinctive touches.

The car features a modern exterior design, starting with the arrow-shaped headlights and the wide grille, complemented by the slim LED DRLs at the top. Safety features include front, side, and curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), an electronic stability program (ESP), and a hill-start assist program (HAC).

The lighting features highlight the Hyundai Bayon's modern and dynamic appearance, featuring LED daytime running lights, LED directional lights, LED side mirror indicators, LED HMSL taillights, rear fog lights, LED headlights, and LED taillights. It's mated to a conventional six-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0-60 km/h in approximately 10 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h. The car also offers fairly economical fuel consumption. The car doesn't offer strong torque at low speeds, and acceleration isn't strong. The build quality is somewhat slow, but its city driving experience is good, with overall performance being fairly good, with the best performance appearing at higher revs even without a sports driving mode. The transmission is simple and reliable, but not overly fast, and is smooth and flexible. Despite its sporty design, it doesn't offer sporty performance inside. Overall, the car's performance is traditional, not sporty, without issues. The transmission is reliable and traditional, not suitable for those looking to run and accelerate. It does offer reliable performance, and the car is somewhat economical in fuel consumption.

The 2022 Bayon's interior design focuses on maximizing space. The car's overall length is 4,180 mm, its width is 1,551 mm, and its height is 1,500 mm, with a luggage capacity of 411 liters. It has a 2580 mm wheelbase and a vehicle weight of 1255 kg.

Interior specifications include a 10.25-inch instrument cluster display, automatic air conditioning with a windshield defogger, an 8-inch touchscreen with support for iPhone and Android devices, voice recognition, cruise control, automatic light and rain sensors, a smart key with remote engine start, and a wireless phone charger.

The car has a sporty, youthful interior design, evident in the low driving position, the digital instrument cluster display, and the large infotainment screen with new designs and options.

The car's cabin offers comfort, with good front legroom and a small headrest. The rear space is average, accommodating two people comfortably, but with difficulty accommodating three. Spare parts prices are appropriate for the price of the car, and prices have recently increased significantly for all Hyundai spare parts due to price increases and the dollar. The suspension is borrowed from the Hyundai i20. It's dry and makes you feel road imperfections, dents, and bumps. However, this is offset by the comfortable seats and the firm suspension, despite its road feel issues. It provides the car with good road stability with less body roll, making it a comfortable ride and stable in turns at higher speeds. The steering wheel is also heavy at high speeds, providing more reassurance when driving fast.

The Hyundai Bayon is available in the used car market for those wishing to purchase it in limited numbers, considering the car's newness and its introduction under difficult circumstances, as well as its unavailability for months on end due to import difficulties. Resale of the Hyundai Bayon is slower than other Hyundai models due to the car's exaggerated price in the used car market, which has approached one million pounds, while its new price ranged from 299,000 to 365,000 pounds, and then successive increases occurred until its official price reached over 800,000 pounds. The car's resale market is more associated with young people than large families, and therefore its sales numbers are lower and demand for it is lower, but it still receives interest commensurate with its sales volume in the local market during the short period in which it was introduced.
