Toyota introduced the RAV4 for the first time in 1994, combining the economy of a small car with the specifications of an SUV, and paving the way for the emergence of other models in the same category, such as the Honda CR-V and Mitsubishi Outlander. The car was available in Egypt in 2007 and offered with a warranty of between 30 years and 100,000 km. It was launched in Egypt at that time for 430,000 Egyptian pounds. It was officially launched in the third generation in Egypt, but was later unofficially available upon request only. It was available in the third generation up to the 2015 models, starting with the 2006 model year. The car featured a sporty design with some features from the second generation in the third generation. It adopts a design closer to Toyota four-wheel drive vehicles, with headlights positioned higher than the bumper, small circular fog lights, 17-inch sporty wheels, streamlined design lines, body-colored mirrors and door handles, and front and rear bumpers in the same color. It bears some features of the Daihatsu Terios.

The seats are comfortable, with room for five passengers. The wheelbase is 2,580 meters long, and the rear seats can be easily folded or moved forward using the EasyFlat system. The rear storage space is 586 liters, which can be increased to 1,469 liters by folding the rear seats.

The cabin offers the maximum possible amount of space in the rear storage box, with the second row of seats folded to increase storage space. However, comfort in the rear of the car is not very good due to the lack of sufficient legroom in the rear, while the front is considered spacious. And comfortable.

Toyota cars are also widespread and well-known in Egypt, even the high-priced Prado models, but the RAV4 is considered one of the least expensive Toyota models in the Egyptian market.
