Soueast DX8S Coupe 2023-2024

The all-new Soueast DX8s Coupe was introduced to Egypt in 2023 for the first time. It's a better version of the Jetour X70. The seven-seat SUV was first introduced in Egypt in two trim levels:

The price of the first trim is EGP 785,000

The price of the second trim (dual-tone) is EGP 790,000

However, in 2024, the car was available in a single trim level, the "Active 2," priced at EGP 1,199,000. This is considered the most expensive Soueast model in Egypt and comes with a 6-year/150,000 km warranty.

The DX8s features a 1.5-liter ACTECO DOHC 16-valve engine with high fuel economy and variable valve timing. It is connected to a turbocharger and generates 156 hp at 5,500 rpm. It also delivers 230 Nm of torque between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with oil cooling. It has a 57-liter fuel tank. It is based on the Jetour X70 and shares the same production platform and virtually identical specifications. The engine is well-known in Egypt and has been featured in many Chinese cars. It's a good engine, delivering virtually no problems or complaints. The same goes for the oil-cooled transmission, which is more reliable and lasts longer than conventional dual-clutch transmissions.

This car is more dynamic in terms of engine and performance than the Jetour X70. It comes with two driving modes: Eco and Sport. The latter offers better sporty performance, good responsiveness, and acceleration is good, reaching less than 11 seconds. Even in Eco mode, the car performs well, and acceleration is good for a large car like this, which is not highly aerodynamic.

The car's fuel consumption is good, not as bad as other large seven-seater Chinese cars, at between 8 and 10 liters. This is an average figure, but better than many competitors, and this is achieved thanks to the combination of the engine and reliable transmission.

It has a wheelbase of 2,745 mm, and its trunk capacity ranges from 89 to 1,680 liters. The trunk volume is large when the rear seats and second row are folded down.

Rear legroom is excellent, with ample legroom. The rear bench seat easily accommodates three passengers without a transmission tunnel. The third-row seats can accommodate average-sized adults, making them ideal for children rather than adults, but they are also practical and can accommodate teenagers or people who are not as tall or large. The front headroom is also large, and the headroom is practical and distinctive.

In addition, it comes with a range of equipment, including a color touch screen in the middle of the cockpit, a smart parking system, motion sensors, a follow-up camera, cruise control, leather upholstery, and an audio entertainment system. It also offers numerous other cabin features, including remote engine start, keyless entry, an engine start/stop button, air conditioning and rear seat vents, one-touch power windows, a one-touch panoramic sunroof, and an electric rearview mirror.

The car's overall balance is good at high speeds, but there is some body sway due to its large size. However, this isn't a cause for concern due to the car's stability.
