Peugeot 308 2015 - 2016 Review

The cabin features a sporty steering wheel, a central instrument panel with a center console, and a 7-inch touchscreen for controlling all functions. It also features a comfortable driving position and a center console without buttons. It also features good interior materials and comfortable seats.

It also offers good front headroom for the driver and front passenger, but the rear headroom is slightly less than the front, with the roof coming closer to the head of the passengers. There's also a transmission tunnel in the rear, which can be annoying for those sitting in the middle of the back.

The car's insulation is average, with the sound of the tires and outside air being audible. The car also offers good visibility.

There's also a spacious 470-liter trunk with good front storage space, the largest in its class. One of the car's drawbacks is that all functions are controlled from the screen. Some wonder why the air conditioning buttons must be controlled from the screen instead of having regular buttons to control the air conditioning. Therefore, when driving at speed, it's difficult to focus on the screen to change vehicle functions.

As is often the case with panoramic glass sunroofs, the 308's sunroofs take up space and impact the headroom available for rear passengers. The rear reading lights are also located behind the headrests, which results in insufficient illumination due to the insufficient distance between the 308's roof and the headrests, which obstructs the light.

Although the glass and pillars provide good all-round visibility, the rear window opening is not large and it is difficult to see clearly through it.

Car spare parts are not widely available because they haven't achieved widespread popularity in Egypt, and the prices for spare parts and car maintenance are high.

The car's steering is good, with a distinctive small-diameter steering wheel that provides a sporty driving experience with better control. The steering is also good and enjoyable, as the car moves in the direction the owner desires, contributing to the car's sporty performance.

The suspension is soft and comfortable, and the seats are comfortable in city driving. However, this softness comes at the expense of sportiness at times. The suspension features McPherson struts in the front and a torsion beam mounted on the trailing arms in the rear. The shock absorbers are also better tuned than before.

Although the car is stable, especially on turns, more suspension strength was needed to increase stability, as there is some roll in turns at speed. However, the safety systems provide stability for the car.

The car hasn't achieved significant sales in Egypt, and like many high-priced hatchbacks in the local market, it isn't in high demand. Consequently, it's difficult to resell in the Egyptian market at the moment, but its current resale prices aren't low. It can be said that this model, starting with the 2015 model year, is unavailable in Egypt and is rare compared to the previous generation, which was fairly well available and more readily available on search engines, unlike this generation of the car, which is less available.

The car achieved a 5-star safety rating in Euro NCAP. The car's EMP2 chassis was designed to be stronger than its predecessor and played a major role in reducing the 308's weight, averaging 140 kilograms compared to the previous generation. The car features the following limited safety features:
