This car is considered a replacement for the Opel Meriva models. However, the Meriva was an MPV, while the Crossland can be considered a compact SUV. Development of this car began in 2016, and the production version was initially shown during the spring of 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show, although the car was initially announced as a 2018 model.
