One of the car's most important features is that it was inspired by the Mini Cooper. Of course, it cannot be compared to it in terms of appearance, price, materials, or quality. Rather, it targeted the traditional Chinese car of the time, which imitated many European and American cars. With its Mini Cooper design, it sought to primarily attract young people.
The Chinese-made car was first launched in Egypt at a price of 55,000 Egyptian pounds, and the price later rose to 57,000 Egyptian pounds. In 2013, the agent planned to launch an automatic version in Egypt called the Lifan 330, with higher equipment, but it was not actually offered in Egypt.
The car has a top speed of 155 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 14.5 seconds, with a low fuel consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 km. The car weighs only 1,250 kg.
The car boasts excellent fuel economy, average engine performance, and average acceleration.
However, it is plagued by numerous transmission issues, which owners in Egypt have complained about. They have encountered difficulty shifting gears and extreme sluggishness, as the transmission is heavy, as they explained, exhibiting a "bite" condition. According to the owners, the dealership stated at the time that the bite in the transmission is normal, and there is difficulty shifting from third to fourth. The car's steering is also heavy.
The Lifan 320 measures 3745 mm in length, 1620 mm in width, and 1430 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2340 mm. The interior space is fairly good and is suitable for a small family or young people. It also comes with numerous interior features, such as air conditioning, electric windows, a CD player, and cabin safety features such as airbags.
The cabin's only drawback is that the interior sealing is poor, with many poor-quality plastic components found throughout the cabin, including the interior and exterior handles and dashboard.
Spare parts for Lifan cars are currently unavailable in Egypt due to the long-standing hiatus of the dealership and the limited availability of Lifan cars. Consequently, it's rare to find spare parts for the Lifan 320. This was a problem that existed when the car was sold new, as there were basic complaints about the unavailability of spare parts from the Saudi dealership, despite their low prices at the time.
The car's suspension is a Toyota design, but the main problem with the suspension, according to complaints from car owners, is that it becomes unstable at high speeds.
The car has a ground clearance of 135 mm, which doesn't raise it significantly off the ground, and its height is average, making it susceptible to friction with high bumps.
Although the Lifan 320 is a car that has gained the admiration of a number of Egyptians due to its low price and low fuel consumption, it is a very weak car in terms of resale due to its lack of popularity, as the Saudi agent stopped offering Lifan cars a long time ago, and thus stopped offering new Lifan 320 cars, and the availability of spare parts for it has become scarce, and therefore it has only a strong resale due to these problems that it faces. Its most famous models in Egypt are from the 2010 to 2013 models.
