Hyundai Sonata 2009 - 2014 Review

The car is powered by a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 165 hp at 6,200 rpm and 198 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for a sporty handling feel. The engine is considered adequate for the car's size and power, and there is also a second version with a more powerful 2.4-liter engine.

The interior has an attractive design with a good door opening angle, a distinctive design for the dashboard and center console, a good distribution of buttons with a distinctive steering wheel and clever meters, and every part was designed with special care. It also comes with comfortable interior seats. It is considered one of the most spacious sedans in Egypt in its price category. However, the interior materials used in the car's closure do not give a feeling of luxury like the exterior design of the car. Many defects in this model have been fixed in the interior cabin in its closure that were present in the previous model, whether some parts that were sticking out of place or weak materials.

The car is considered to have few faults and does not need to change many spare parts and components, which makes it a reliable car, but in the end it is a car with limited distribution and limited spare parts, and they are found in the agency more than they are in shops and spare parts centers, and their prices are high, commensurate with the high price of the car, but their price has decreased over time and has become suitable for the car, while the most frequently changed parts are the air filter and brake pads.

The car is characterized by stability, and the weight of the car gives it high stability, in addition to the wide tires, and this stability at high speeds.

The car doesn't have a good resale market due to its limited popularity in the Egyptian market. Although it's a Hyundai, its sales haven't been high, and therefore its availability is limited in the supply and demand market, and demand for it is limited in the resale market. Compared to the car's selling price at the time of its sale and its recent used market prices, it can be expected that its current selling price will be higher than its new price. Therefore, the car hasn't lost a lot in resale value, but its price won't warrant the purchase of a new car in the same category. Instead, its owner will be forced to downgrade to a category further away from the Sonata until its used market price allows him to purchase a new car. Therefore, owners of these cars prefer to keep them because of the comfort and interior space they offer, which are difficult to find in new, lower-priced cars.
