Hyundai H1 2005-2008

The Hyundai H1 is one of the most important tourist cars known to Egypt. It is distinguished by its innovative design and smart cabin, and has been used by many tourism companies to provide spaciousness and luxury. It is a practical car that strikes a balance between beautiful dimensions and a spacious interior. It is characterized by fluidity, elegance, and practicality through its compact engineering and distinctive design, with a completely flat floor. The car features large headlights, a distinctive front bumper, and a windshield with an angled inclination that provides great aerodynamics. It also features distinctive taillights and a large exterior size that helps maneuver and accommodate passengers on long trips. The car was introduced in Egypt in 2006 at a price of 139,900 Egyptian pounds.

The car was known in Europe as the H200, specifically in the Netherlands, and it carried various names during its first and second generation. Today, we're talking about the first generation of the car used for passenger transport. The car remained in its first generation form until 2007, starting in 1997, but it was available in Egypt from 2005 to 2008, making it the most popular model in the local market.

The car's engine delivers responsiveness and powerful performance. It's a 2.5-liter, 100-horsepower, turbo diesel engine with intelligent combustion control, delivering powerful acceleration and torque, as well as fuel economy and appropriate emissions levels.

The car also features a 5-speed transmission and a logical shift control system that helps enhance acceleration and fuel economy, making for a quieter, smoother ride. Owners confirm that the engine and performance are good, with no general complaints. The car's towing and acceleration are also good for its size and weight.

The car's interior accommodates up to 12 adults, offering generous head and legroom comparable to that of larger cars in its class. This is possible due to the distinctive space engineering and manufacturing technology that ensures ample interior space. The seats are upholstered in luxurious velvet with an attractive design. The car is designed for a continuous journey of 500 km without any fatigue. The middle seats can be folded individually, or the rear seats can be folded individually, making the entire car area flat, from behind the driver to the rear of the car, increasing the amount of movement inside.

The car also features large glass areas for better visibility for passengers, and rear air conditioning for rear-seat passengers.

The car is equipped with two front and rear air conditioning units with front or rear controls for cooling speed and temperature. The air conditioning performance is excellent.

Spare Parts

60%

Spare parts for the car are relatively readily available, given that it is a Hyundai vehicle available in the local market and was in high demand. Therefore, spare parts are available at dealerships, imported, and from dealers. Some consider the car's prices reasonable, while others complain about its high price.

Some users of the car confirmed that it is a distinctive model, but the problem lies in its expensive and unavailable spare parts. In addition, there are problems with its electric fuel pump, which is subject to major problems due to the high quality of diesel in Egypt and its extremely high price.

Suspension

90%

The car features an advanced suspension system on the front and rear wheels, which helps stabilize the car during sharp turns at high speeds and during braking. Its compact body and 5.6-meter turning radius enable it to maneuver easily on narrow roads, transporting tourists to the narrowest archaeological sites.

The car is very comfortable, especially on bumps, potholes, and unpaved roads. According to some users, passengers are not aware of the poor road conditions.

Resale

30%

Resale of these types of cars may have been significantly affected recently because they are used primarily for tourism and corporate purposes. Therefore, most tourism companies are looking for new, rather than used, cars based on the nature of their customers. This is a common occurrence with corporate vehicles. Consequently, demand for these types of used cars is not high, even though they are available in the used market and on car sales websites. However, demand for purchases is not high.

The impact of previous economic conditions on companies in Egypt, both tourism and others, has also affected the market for these cars, as supply has become greater than demand, especially since their licenses are not private. It is difficult to purchase them as private cars, especially given the large engine size and its impact on licensing. Supply is also higher for older generations of cars than newer ones, and the resale price of the car has declined significantly.
