Hyundai Elantra CN7 2020 - 2022 Review

The car achieves fuel economy, but at the same time, it doesn't offer exceptionally strong performance, as it is considered a traditional car. This aligns with its purpose as a family car, not a youth car.

The car comes with the same engine as the previous Elantra and a reliable, traditional transmission that has no problems other than some delays in the shifting process. The engine is traditional and trouble-free, and its acceleration isn't very strong, but a better-performing engine could have been offered. The car drives no differently than previous generations, with the ability to achieve good speeds on the road as it gradually increases in speed.

The car is 4675 mm long, 1825 mm wide, 1430 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2720 mm.

The car's trunk space is average, less than some competitors and better than others, while it has significantly increased compared to the previous generation. The trunk capacity is 474 liters, up from 403 liters previously, making it more spacious and more suitable.

The car features:

It comes with a good rear seat with adequate rear space between the rear sofa and the front seats.

The car is generally spacious and comfortable inside. The interior features a comfortable design for the front seats, with adjustable temperature and ventilation vents in the seats.

The car's drawbacks: :

The interior is rife with hard plastic parts, with more flexible materials in the higher-end trim.

The low roofline, due to the coupe shape, makes it a bit difficult to ride.

There are no rear USB ports.

Internal storage spaces are not large.

Rear visibility is poor due to the coupe's line.

Sound insulation is average, with wind noise appearing at high speeds above 130 km/h, and tire noise is noticeable.

The electric steering wheel has no feel.

The car's drawback is that its spare parts are more expensive than previous generations of Elantra and compared to its competitors. This is a well-known fact among modern cars that have undergone major changes, as their spare parts prices are higher than those of previous generations. Its high price is also due to it being a new car, as it is in its second year in Egypt. Despite the high prices of its spare parts, they are widely available at the dealership and outside it.

The car's ground clearance is 150 mm, which is sufficient to prevent it from scraping over bumps.

The car is stable while driving and remains steady at speeds due to the increased width and improved design dynamics.

The suspension is also good and balanced between comfort and harshness, not overly harsh. The front suspension is MacPherson strut and the rear is Torigenbeam. It is comfortable over bumps, somewhere between sporty and comfortable, and absorbs bumps at speeds well.

It also comes with an electric steering wheel that doesn't give a driving feel, but it is precise and sporty. There is some difficulty steering, especially on curves, where the car may lean slightly, but its tilt can be controlled.

Hyundai Elantra cars are generally considered to be among the most resaleable vehicles, offering great ease of resale and maintaining a high value. This is also the case for the new generation Hyundai Elantra CN7. The car is popular and widely available, which maintains its value and makes resale easy.

However, the first models sold in Egypt do not have the same level of ease of resale. Months after its launch, the car received new safety features that were not available in the first models sold in Egypt, specifically in the second-generation five-seater. These features were available shortly afterward, which reduced the car's resale value compared to models that did not receive the safety features that were equipped with the car after its launch in Egypt.

The car is considered reliable, but its drawback is the high prices of the higher-end models, which makes it uncompetitive with better cars at the same price.

The car's drawback is that the lower trims lack many of the necessary safety features, such as electronic stability control, full front airbags, and tire pressure monitoring.

In December 2020, new safety features were added to the Hyundai Elantra CN7, including the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and the Traction Control System (TC). These features are available from the second series to the fifth series, noting that these features were already available in the sixth and seventh series.

تأتي بنفس تجهيزات أول فئة وتزيد بشاحن هاتف لاسلكي Wireless Charger وحساس إضاءة أوتوماتيكي، مع شاشة 8 بوصة تعمل باللمس.

ويدعم نظام الترفيه الخاص بالفئة الثانية الاتصال بهواتف الآيفون من خلال نظام Apple Carplay وهواتف الأندرويد من خلال نظام Android Auto، كما يدعم نظام الترفيه نظام التعرف على الصوت واستقبال الأوامر الصوتية.

(Smart Fun)

تزيد التجهيزات في الفئة الثالثة عن السابق بمثبت سرعة، وفتحة سقف كهربائية.

 (Smart Plus) 

تزيد التجهيزات الداخلية بإمكانية التحكم بضغطة واحدة في زجاج السائق، ومقاعد بتنجيد تريكو فاخرة، وعجلة قيادة، وناقل حركة مكسوة بالجلد، بالإضافة إلى مسند يد خلفي. كما تزيد التجهيزات الخارجية بجنوط سبور بقياس 16 بوصة، وإضاءة أمامية نهارية LED وفوانيس LED خلفية H-Type.

 (Modern) 

تأتي بتجهيزات إضافية مثل عدادات مزودة بشاشة TFT بقياس 10.25 بوصة، مع عجلة قيادة قابلة للإمالة والامتداد، وتكيف هواء أوتوماتيكي بتحكم ثنائي في درجة الحرارة. كما تزيد في نظام إزالة الضباب أوتوماتيكيًا للزجاج الأمامي، وحساس مطر أوتوماتيكي، ومفتاح ذكي يسمح بإدارة المحرك عن بعد. كما أن الشبكة الأمامية في الفئة الخامسة مصنوعة من الكروم، مع حلية كروم خارجة في الإكصدام الأمامي.

(Advanced) 

تزيد عن السابق بمقاعد داخلية رياضية مكسوة بالجلد كما يمكن طي المقاعد الخلفية. وتزيد بجنوط سبور بقياس 17 بوصة، مع إضاءة مصابيح أمامية LED.

 (Premium) 

وتزيد في التحكم كهربائياً في مقعد السائق مع ذاكرة لحفظ الأوضاع المفضلة، مع إضاءة داخلية للمقصورة 64 لون. كما تأتي بشاشة ترفيه 10.25 تعمل باللمس، مع نظام ملاحة Navigation System مدعوم بـ 8 سماعات من إنتاج شركة BOSE العالمية.
