The Elantra is one of the most popular cars in Egypt, gaining widespread popularity due to its high reliability and low price, enabling it to achieve great success across all its generations. The Elantra AD is the sixth generation of this model, launched in 2015 and introduced in Egypt in 2016. It features a distinct design with modern, sporty lines, an aggressive front fascia centered by a sporty grille with nickel chrome lines, and new headlight and taillight designs.

The Elantra AD is available in Egypt in six trim levels, with prices for the 2019 model starting at EGP 302,000 for the first trim, EGP 308,000 for the second trim, EGP 332,000 for the third trim, EGP 357,000 for the fourth trim, EGP 377,000 for the fifth trim, and EGP 401,000 for the sixth trim.

The Elantra AD is available in Egypt with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine producing 128 hp and 155 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds. Power is transmitted to the road via front-wheel drive.

The car's engine is traditional and known for its good, balanced performance. However, it unleashes its power at high revs or high RPMs, which means it doesn't deliver optimal performance at low speeds. It requires a high-speed acceleration to deliver optimal performance, with full power and torque at high revs.

The transmission is also economical, and the car has an Eco driving mode that offers a quieter driving experience while saving fuel. There's also a Sport mode that improves engine and transmission response, achieving faster speeds with a sportier feel while consuming more fuel. Overall, the engine's performance is good on highways, but in cities, the engine and transmission's performance declines, as power and torque are released at higher revs. In conclusion, the engine has no known issues and performs well overall.

5th Series Specifications

Includes all the previous features, in addition to a rear distance warning system, cruise control, and front parking sensors.

6th Series Specifications

In addition to all the previous features, it comes with LED daytime running lights (DRL) and an auto-dimming interior mirror.
