Hawtai A25 2016-2019

The Chinese company Hawtai was established in 2000, owned by Chinese businessman Zhang Zhiyong, and operates in the sedans and SUVs sector. Hawtai Group signed an agreement with National Motors to manufacture cars in Egypt, launching its models locally, and establishing three factories for engines, gearboxes, and spare parts. The Hawtai A25 was introduced to Egypt in 2016, and was offered in two categories: the first manual, priced at EGP 249,999, and the second automatic, priced at EGP 287,000. Upon its launch, the car came with a 3-year/100,000 km warranty. The car continued in Egypt until 2019, but has since disappeared and is no longer available on the Egyptian market, causing a crisis for car owners due to spare parts and resale.

Motor

The car is powered by a 1500cc turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 156 hp at 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 215 Nm, mated to a 4-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. At the time of its introduction, the car was among the few Chinese cars offered with a turbo engine and was considered one of the most powerful Chinese models in Egypt. It also comes with a 50-liter fuel tank. The car's engine is powered by Land Rover technology and features a ZF transmission.

The car's engine is considered dynamic, but its main problem is that the automatic transmission is only 4 speeds, which reduces the engine's performance despite its significant torque. The car complies with Euro 5 fuel emission standards, the standard in force in European countries. This is one of the car's advantages, as most cars at the time of this model's launch were operating according to the Euro 3 system. The car is considered one of the least polluting cars on the market, which has prompted many to try to learn about it and verify its low emissions.

The Hawtai A25 offers generous dimensions for the Egyptian family and ample interior space. The interior is well-designed and features a generous amount of equipment, though high-quality materials are not used, and plastics are used throughout. The car measures 4426 mm in length, 1862 mm in width, and 1683 mm in height. The curb weight ranges from 1460 kg for the manual version to 1484 kg for the automatic version. The trunk has a capacity of 430 liters, increasing to 1401 liters when the rear seats are folded. The car boasts numerous interior features, including a 7-inch touchscreen and a video camera to assist the driver when parking. It also features a digital speedometer and an ignition button as an alternative to a traditional key.

Spare Parts

Spare parts for the car are not available in Egypt due to the discontinuation of its production, the agency stopping the production of Hawtai models, the end of the relationship with the Chinese company, Korean alternatives for spare parts being provided, the high prices of spare parts for the car, and the presence of a very limited number of technicians dealing with car maintenance in Egypt. The car suffers from numerous defects and many problems reported by its owners, including gearbox squealing, problems with suspension sounds, and other problems, the most difficult of which is finding spare parts available.

The car has a ground clearance of 25 cm, which is a very good amount for handling bumps and unpaved roads on Egyptian roads. The car's ground clearance is among the highest in its class, making it capable of navigating Egypt's roads and streets comfortably and without fear.

The A25 is considered the only Hawtai car in Egypt and its presence in the sales markets and websites is very limited and its sales are weak, and there is difficulty in reselling it due to its many problems and the lack of a local agent who provides spare parts and maintenance for it now.

There are not many other safety features available, as it was only offered in one trim level in Egypt with these specifications, and no other trim levels were available, allowing for a variety of safety features.

قدمت شركة ناشيونال موتورز هاوتاي A25 بفئتين مُختلفتين من التجهيزات. ويعتبر الاختلاف الأساسي في النسختين ناقل الحركة حيث تأتي الفئة الأولى بصندوق سرعات يدوي من 6 سرعات والفئة الثانية بصندوق سرعات أوتوماتيكي من أربعة سرعات. أما باقي التجهيزات , فتأتي بصورة قياسية وأساسية في الفئتين.

جاء طراز هاوتاي A25 بوحدة ذكية لتشغيل للوسائط المُتعددة مع شاشة عرض كبيرة تعمل باللمس 7 بوصة وتدعم تشغيل الاسطوانات المُدمجة والراديو ونظام الملاحة الالكتروني GPS ويوصل بالكاميرا الخلفية بالإضافة إلى عرض أهم المعلومات المُتعلقة بالرحلة والسيارة ككل. ويتوفر النظام الصوتي في هذا الطراز من ستة مكبرات للصوت متصلين بوحدة عرض الوسائط المُتعددة مع توفير مخارج توصيل الأجهزة من فئتي USB و AUX مع عدادات سرعة رقمية، بالإضافة إلى زر للتشغيل كبديل للمفتاح التقليدي.

تتضمن أعمدة التحميل على السقف كتجهيز قياسي ، بالإضافة إلى المرايا الجانبية الكهربائية بإشارات من فئة LED. كما توفرت السيارة في سبعة الوان اختيارية للطلاء الخارجي تشمل اللون الأسود الغامق و الأزرق الغامق و الرصاصي الغامق والبني والاحمر والأبيض وأخيرا اللون الفضي . كما حصلت على عجلات معدنية 17 بوصة وقياس الاطارات 225 / 60 والإحتياطي بقطر 16 بوصة وقياس الإطار 215 / 70.
