Fiat Siena 2000-2011

The Fiat Sienna is a supermini produced by the Italian company Fiat since 1996. It is a four-door sedan and is considered the sedan version of the Palio. Designed specifically for developing countries, it was introduced in South America and manufactured in several countries around the world. In 2002, a modified version of the car was manufactured for the European market, known as the Fiat Albea. It replaced the Sienna in European markets such as Poland, where the original Sienna was sold. In 2012, the second generation of the car, known as the Grand Sienna, was introduced. The car achieved the title of best-selling car in Brazil, with sales of 800,000 units in 14 years. In Italy, the car was known as the Donna. The car was manufactured in several countries, and Egypt received different versions of it. It remained Egyptian-made until 2002, then Turkish-made. The Brazilian version appeared in 2006 and 2007, and was discontinued. Imports of the Chinese Sienna began in 2008, and the Chinese version was sold in Egypt for 69,500 Egyptian pounds in 2008.

Reviews - Fiat Siena 2000-2011

Motor

The car features a 1500cc, 4-cylinder engine with 85 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. It also comes with a 48-liter fuel tank and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.4 seconds. The engine is well-insulated and consumes good fuel, except for the 1600cc version.

However, it was previously offered with different engines, the first with a 1400cc capacity and the second with a 1600cc, 104 hp engine, both with a half-injection feature. These engines were offered in models from 2000 to 2004, in addition to a manual transmission. These versions provided a very smooth engine sound.

Among the drawbacks of the drivetrain are the car's poor transmission, requiring heavy clutch pressure during shifts. The injection valve must be cleaned regularly, and the RPM gauge may be irregular. The car's highway traction is also very adequate, according to some, due to its large engine capacity, while others find it weak, especially when the air conditioning is on. Another major issue reported by many owners is that it overheats quickly, despite having two thermostats. Like other Fiat cars, overheating is a major problem. The car's small engine compartment is also a drawback, which leads many technicians to refuse to repair it, especially for cars with a 1600 cc engine. Overall, the car is an average vehicle with fairly good performance on the road, but it causes difficulties with the transmission.

The car is 4.210 meters long, 1.703 meters wide, and 1.490 meters high. It weighs 1,070 kg and has a trunk capacity of 500 liters. The car also features the ability to fold the rear seats.

Although it is a medium-sized car, its trunk is spacious. There is disagreement among car owners about its interior spaciousness. Some believe its main flaw is the cramped interior space, especially in the rear seat. Other owners confirm that the car's interior is spacious and comfortable, and that the trunk is very spacious.

The car also has some flaws, such as the weak equipment, such as the cassette player and the shape of the interior dashboard when changing the cassette. The air conditioning is not very powerful, but it is good in the front and average in the rear, and the instrument panel is easy and clear.

Spare Parts

The main problem with this car is its spare parts prices, which are considered high compared to Korean cars. It's also difficult to find spare parts for the car, in addition to their high price. However, what is found is original spare parts, not counterfeit ones like some Korean cars. This means that there are few alternatives to the car, unlike cars like the Daewoo Nubira, which have Chinese, Korean, and Japanese alternative spare parts.

There's also the problem that only a few people deal with the car, and it's difficult for any mechanic to understand it. Repairing it at the dealership is better, in addition to the limited number of dealers available, and the price of parts is unified inside and outside the dealership.

Suspension

The car is characterized by its good stability on the road, especially on curves, but up to a speed of 140 km/h and after that, it may not be at the same level of stability. It also has great smoothness in movement, and the car's suspension is good, giving a sense of comfort. It can handle bumps on Egyptian roads well due to the appropriate height from the ground.

The Fiat Siena is considered one of the most popular used cars in the Egyptian market due to several factors, most notably its reasonable price compared to many other used cars, in addition to its affiliation with the Italian Fiat brand, which is popular in Egypt. It is also very reasonably priced, given its capabilities. The car is known for its ease of resale, as it was a Fiat car during a period when demand for such cars was high. However, the resale price may be somewhat low due to spare parts issues. The car's numerous problems may also cause its resale price to be low, such as: ...
