The car retains a distinctive design with Lexus touches and the same face of the Alsvin and Eado cars that were introduced at the time, with sharp headlight designs and bold, sharp lines that give it a sporty look.
The front of the Changan CS15 adopts a family design, while the central grille adopts an inverted trapezoidal design. The ventilation grille consists of five silver strips, forming an integrated design with the headlights at the top and the air vents.
The side profile of the body is relatively flat and appears to have a relatively sporty vibe. The rear of the car is relatively sporty, with black accents connecting the taillights on the sides.

The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 105 hp and 145 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed DCT automatic transmission with front-wheel drive. The car also features an electric power steering system (EPS) and a maximum torque output of 3,500-4,500 rpm. The combined fuel consumption according to the European Driving Cycle (NEDC) is 6.6 liters/100 km, which is a good fuel economy.
The car offers comfortable driving in the city, and the transmission is easy to use, while the accelerator pedal is light. High-speed driving is good, and the car's dynamic response is positive.
However, the car's drawback is that the engine lacks underbody armoring, and it's a small engine located lower in the car's tub.
Engine sound insulation isn't very good.
The transmission performs well with oil cooling, but there's a significant lack of speed in normal mode. This isn't bad, and it also has a manual shift mode and a sport mode, which offers better performance.
The steering is good and clear, but the car's acceleration isn't outstanding, which is typical for its class, engine size, and power.
The car measures 4135 mm long, 1740 mm wide, and 1630 mm high, with a 2520 mm wheelbase and 230 liters of trunk space.
The trunk is small in size, but can be expanded by folding the rear seats in a 60/40 split, expanding to a maximum of 1100 liters. There are also multiple storage spaces in the trunk itself and inside the cabin.
When seated in the front driver's seat, the head-to-ceiling space is about the width of one fist and three fingers. The space is relatively spacious, and in the back row, there's about one fistful and two fingers between your head and the ceiling, and your legs are about one fistful and four fingers apart on the back of the front seat.
Sitting in the back seat is fairly comfortable between your knees and the front seat, with the ceiling high above the passengers' heads. There's no transmission tunnel, and the rear seat design is good, especially in the second-seat leather.
The car features some leather on the doors, along with plastic materials, with lots of piano black touches. Overall, the car's materials are good, especially in the second-seat. Road visibility is good, and the air conditioning is strong.
The car's cabin is flawed by the fact that the infotainment screen is small and primitive in its operation, and the rear camera isn't of high resolution, but it's fairly good.
Some Changan CS15 owners had previously complained about the unavailability of many spare parts due to ongoing import difficulties. However, these issues have since been addressed to some extent, with confirmation that some parts are available that can be replaced from other models. Spare parts for the car are available at the dealership to some extent, and are also available outside the dealership from a number of specific spare parts dealers at moderate prices.
The car's ground clearance is 150 mm, which is high enough to handle bumps smoothly. The front suspension is McPherson strut, and the rear suspension is Torigen Beam. There are no complaints about the suspension, which performs well on the roads.
The car has some roll when cornering, but it can be easily controlled due to the car's height and weight. The electronic stability control maintains good stability, but the car's stability at high speeds is subject to some vibrations.
The Changan CS15 is considered a value-for-money model, offering good equipment and features at a price considered the cheapest Changan model at the time of its launch. Overall, the Changan CS15 boasts a sporty design, satisfactory space, positive dynamic response, strong handling, and economical fuel consumption, meeting everyday needs. It has relatively good features among models in its class and deserves a recommendation, but its resale market is limited in Egypt and has not achieved strong sales like some other popular cars in its class. Therefore, its presence in the used car market is limited and sales are slow.
The Changan CS15 First Class is equipped with several safety features and equipment, including:
Airbags
Anti-lock brakes (ABS)
Rear distance warning system
Rear fog lights.
Front and rear disc brakes.
The Second Class has the same specifications as before, with additional features.
Electronic stability control (ESP).
Hill hold control (HHC).
Tire pressure monitoring system.
Rearview camera.
The car's only drawback is the lack of airbags, as there are only two, and more were needed. The car has good safety features, including electronic stability control.
