Brilliance V5 2012-2017

The Brilliance V5 is a compact CUV from the Brilliance Auto range. It was first introduced in 2011 in China as a 2012 model. The car was introduced in 2015 models in Egypt at a price of 175,000 EGP, and the 2016 model was priced at 187,000 EGP. It continued to be available until the 2017 models before being discontinued and replaced by the new V6 model in Egypt, which appeared in recent months.

The car is available with a 1.6-liter MPI engine from Mitsubishi, producing 155 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and 118 hp at 5,600 rpm. The car's top speed ranges between 171 and 178 km/h, and it is mated to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with a 5.5-liter fuel tank and a front-wheel drive system. The engine delivers good performance, but it has a slight lag in engine response when driving at slow speeds or engine speeds below 3,500 rpm in the automatic version of the car.

A rear storage box ranges between 430 liters, increasing to 1,254 liters with the rear seats folded. The car's weight ranges between 1,340 and 1,390 kg, with a ground clearance of 17.5 cm. The car's cabin can be considered good in design and equipment, although some consider it less than Korean and Japanese cabins in its class, with good materials and high manufacturing costs.

The car also accommodates five adult passengers, and its interior space is good. The legroom in the rear is also good, as is the shoulder space and the good rear trunk, which holds 430 liters.
