Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2014 - 2019 Review

The car features a 1.4-liter Multiair turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 10:1 compression ratio. It produces 170 hp at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 2,250 rpm in the Normal version and 250 Nm at 2,500 rpm in the Dynamic version. The car features an internal-cooled engine and a Multiair Injection system with a supercharger (MPFI) and a front-wheel drive system. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

These specifications enable the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 218 km/h. The car has a 60-liter fuel tank. The car is considered fast and distinctive in speed.

As for the advantages of the car's engine, it has a new multi-air design and has won numerous awards, with a power of up to 170 horsepower. It is distinguished by its efficiency and sporty performance, with record-breaking fuel economy and emissions savings, thanks to the distinctive engine design, which achieves fuel economy and a 10% reduction in emissions. The car's power also increased by 10% thanks to the engine.

The car seats two in the front and three in the back, with a wheelbase of 2.643 meters, a length of 4.351 meters, a width of 1.798 meters, and a height of 1.465 meters. The trunk capacity is 350 liters, which is not a large trunk, but it is suitable for this class of car and is considered much larger than others.

However, the car is not very spacious inside due to the large size of the external and supporting parts of the car body. Outside visibility is not the best, and there is not much seating space despite the car's capacity for five passengers. The roof of the car is close to the passengers' heads, with distinctive rear handles, but the car does not have armrests in the front or rear, and there are no cup holders in the cabin.

Electric seat adjustment is only available in the newer versions of the car, but ultimately the interior design of the Giulietta reflects the car's vitality with a large dashboard and an Italian-style interior design.

Spare parts for the car are expensive and scarce, and there are other competing cars whose spare parts are better known, and it is difficult to find spare parts for the car outside the agency, but with the increasing popularity of Alfa Romeo cars in Egypt in recent years, with the emergence of more than one agent for it in Egypt, it is expected that the availability of spare parts for it in Egypt will improve. Although there are spare parts for Alfa Romeo, they are more for older models of the car.

The car comes with an advanced MacPherson strut front suspension with aluminum components and a hollow stabilizer bar, while the rear suspension is a multi-link suspension with aluminum components and a stabilizer bar. The McPherson front suspension and the Multilink rear suspension are designed to ensure optimal balance.

The suspension is also electronically controlled using the Alfa DNA system, enabling it to quickly adapt to bumps, provide smooth, sudden braking, a stable ride, and accelerate quickly and steadily through curves.

The system also ensures that the car adapts to the road regardless of road conditions, offering absolute comfort and a smooth ride at all times. When facing all environmental conditions, the vehicle's dynamic control (VDC) and electronic Q2 system are used. The car's suspension system provides a sporty and entertaining drive, comfort, and control.

The problem with Alfa Romeo cars in Egypt is the resale of their vehicles. Buyers confirm that the resale process is somewhat difficult. Although the Giulietta is elegant and boasts powerful performance, the resale process is somewhat cumbersome and slow. This is a common problem facing all Alfa Romeo owners in Egypt, as there are many German cars with a much better sales market. Although the Giulietta may outperform many German cars in terms of looks, acceleration, stability, and insulation, it may be less expensive than some Volkswagens, especially after the price reductions for European cars.
