Seat Toledo 2016 - 2019 Review

The SEAT Toledo models in Egypt are powered by a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 110 hp at 5,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 155 Nm at 3,800 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds, with an official top speed of 191 km/h. It comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and consumes a fuel consumption rate of 6.1 liters per 100 km.

The engine isn't very powerful, but the car's lightweight makes the power appropriate for the car. The engine also delivers good performance and acceleration with a sporty feel. It tends to operate at high speeds above 100 km/h and less well below 100 km/h. Therefore, the engine's pull is weaker at low speeds and improves at higher speeds.

The transmission is also economical in the city and is considered smooth and seamless in sporty driving. Despite the car's fuel economy figures, the average in actual use is average—neither low nor excessively high—and suitable for cars in the 1600cc engine category. Therefore, the fuel consumption rate is proportional to the car's size, dimensions, engine size, and internal capacity.

The Toledo has a suitable fuel tank capacity of 55 liters, which helps it be used on long-distance roads. The car also has a good speed of 195 km/h, which is faster than other cars in its class.

The car offers generous storage space, up to 550 liters in the rear, along with various other storage spaces.

The cabin insulation is good in cities, and the insulation throughout the car is excellent, especially at speeds, where wind noise and tire noise are only faintly noticeable.

The SEAT dealership provides spare parts for the SEAT Toledo. However, since the car has been discontinued for more than two years, it's no longer easy to find spare parts for the car. Their prices are moderate, not low, and can be matched with Skoda Rapid spare parts, which have also been discontinued in Egypt. Outside the dealership, it's difficult to find spare parts easily and readily available.

It's assumed that spare parts prices are generally cheaper than Japanese and Korean ones due to the European partnership agreement. However, with the current rise in prices, the price of spare parts for this car has certainly risen. Furthermore, its accessories are expensive, and fraud can occur outside the dealership, as there are many counterfeit spare parts available on the market for European cars like the SEAT Toledo.

The car features a chassis that provides high stability and good lane keeping. It offers superior stability at high speeds and maneuverability, better than many other cars. At the same time, this doesn't affect the car's comfort level, offering good maneuverability. Although owners confirm that the suspension is a bit dry, it is acceptable and not too bad. You can feel bumps and knocks, but without causing significant damage like other cars. The car's only drawback is that the seats are a bit uncomfortable, which is affected by the dry suspension.

The car has the same chassis as the Skoda Rapid A05 and Volkswagen Jetta, and it handles Egyptian roads well. The ground clearance is good, and there are no flaws in this regard.

The steering is good and precise, providing a good driving experience. At high speeds and in turns.

The Toledo's ground clearance is approximately 146 mm, which is the distance between the bottom of the car and the nearest point to the ground, helping prevent the car from rubbing against obstacles on the road.

The car is considered a better value for money compared to other cars in its class, and although it is a distinguished car in many points, it did not achieve large sales in the Egyptian market on the one hand, and therefore the process of reselling the car is somewhat heavy and does not achieve strong resale, neither in price nor in ease and speed of sale.

The car has a 5-star European safety rating.

The first-class safety features include four airbags with child-deactivation, ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic brake force distribution), multi-zone brakes, ESP (electronic brake assist), Towing Stability Program (ESP), MSR (engine torque control when towing), ASR (traction control), HBA (brake assist), intermittent emergency braking, ESC (vehicle stability control), and ISOFIX child seat anchor points. It also comes with rear fog lights and rear parking sensors.

The second-class features a driver attention monitoring system, six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, a hill-start assist system, front fog lights, and cruise control.

وتتميز السيارة بالتجهيزات العديدة خاصة الاضاءة الأمامية والخلفية وامكانية تعديلهما ونظام الصوت المتميز مع وسائل الرابط بالهاتف بطرق مختلفة . ويعيب السيارة أنها لا يوجد بها تعديل كهربائي للمقاعد الأمامية التي تعمل بتحكم يدوي فقط كما أن المرايا الكهربائية ليست بطي كهربائي مع عدم توفر حساسات الاضاءة أو المطر .
