In 2006, the new generation of the Hyundai Accent was introduced to Egypt, known as the Hyundai New Accent, manufactured in Korea and imported to Egypt. This generation was offered from 2006 to 2011, followed by the new generation Hyundai Accent RB, which recently returned to Egypt with local assembly replacing the Verna models. It was introduced in 2007 at a price of EGP 85,000. Prices subsequently increased between EGP 120,000 and EGP 145,000.

The car's design differed from the previous generation, with the headlights being modified to provide the best possible lighting. The front grille also took on a sleeker, larger shape, and nickel was used on the edges to give it a luxurious appearance. The front bumper was also modified, with front air vents added to give the car a sporty appearance. The car also features new, elegant door handles.

At the rear, new taillights appear, helping to improve light clarity and creating a streamlined appearance that blends seamlessly with the car's body. The car's aerodynamics have also been enhanced with the rear stop lights on the rear window. Inside, the saloon is more modern than the previous generation. There were complaints about a problem with the car's power steering in the early 2006 and 2007 models, but this problem was later resolved in the 2008 and later models, as the power steering was converted to oil. The previous problem with the power steering was that drivers felt it was disconnected at times, but the power steering operates by reducing the steering wheel's resistance at normal speeds and increasing the resistance at higher speeds.
