DFSK Eagle pro 2021-2023

The DFSK Eagle Pro was first unveiled in Egypt in 2021. It's a seven-seat SUV with three rows of seats, offered by the agent, National Motors. The facelifted version of the previous 580 addresses many of the issues facing the Eagle 580, while also updating the design to a more sophisticated look. The new Eagle Pro features a powerfully designed grille with the distinctive DFSK logo at its center. The Eagle Pro also features modern LED lighting systems in the headlights and taillights for enhanced visibility while driving. The car is available with 18-inch, two-tone sports rims, designed to achieve the appropriate height to avoid any shocks or damage to the bottom of the car, in addition to two exhaust outlets.

The Eagle Pro, which is a facelift of the Eagle 580, outperforms the latter in terms of the updated front grille and the revised front end, in addition to the increased interior equipment.

The car was first introduced in Egypt with prices starting from EGP 374,900, with a seven-year or 150,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. However, with the gradual increase in prices, its 2023 prices are as follows:

The first category, black upholstery, is priced at EGP 749,900.

The second category, red upholstery, is priced at EGP 799,900.

Motor

The Eagle Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine producing 165 hp and 220 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission that sends power to the front wheels. The fuel tank capacity is 58 liters, and the car accelerates to 0-60 mph in 11.8 seconds, which is a good figure for a car in this class and at this weight.

Previous engine cooling and overheating issues were encountered in the Eagle 580, which have been addressed in the new Eagle Pro. Overall, there are no complaints about the engine or performance of the Eagle Pro, with the car performing well. It's certainly suitable for families, but not for young people. The sporty nature of the ride is evident, as it's a large, seven-seat family car.

The Eagle Pro featured improved materials and an increased interior, addressing some of the flaws seen in the cabin of the pre-facelift version, known as the Eagle 580. The interior was also equipped with increased space, despite the lack of a transmission tunnel in the second row. This provided comfortable seating, along with a convenient third row of seats. The trunk also boasts ample room, especially when the third row is folded.

The car also received red leather seat and upholstery, along with increased insulation, making the cabin quieter. The entire cabin appeared to be inspired by BMW, with wood accents throughout.

Spare Parts

Eagle Pro spare parts are less widely available than Eagle 580 parts due to the difference in availability between the two vehicles. However, spare parts can be found at dealerships at slightly higher prices and are less readily available outside dealerships in many shops in Tawfiqiyah. Alternatives to Korean and Japanese spare parts are also available in some locations, as was the case with the Eagle 580.

Suspension

The Eagle Pro comes with a ground clearance of 20 cm, which is good enough to prevent bumps and bumps, making it suitable for driving on Egyptian roads. The Eagle Pro suffered from suspension issues, but that was only the case with the Eagle 580 version. According to the dealership, these issues have been addressed in the Eagle Pro models, with no complaints currently regarding the car's suspension. The car comes with a McPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension with electric power steering.

 

Resale

The DFSK Eagle Pro isn't in the best shape in terms of resale. This is because it was only recently launched in Egypt in 2021, which means it's not widely available, especially given the difficult economic conditions that plagued the market from 2022 to 2023, which limited its reach.

Although the DFSK Eagle Pro addressed many of the issues and shortcomings of its predecessor, known as the Eagle 580, it still hasn't achieved the same widespread popularity or sales power as the Eagle 580, which was more prevalent in the resale market. Consequently, resales of the Eagle Pro are much slower than the Eagle 580, and availability is also limited in the resale market.
