The Changan CS35 was first introduced to the Egyptian market in 2014, imported at a price of EGP 130,000. The car was assembled at the Suzuki and Foton factories in Egypt in the second quarter of 2017 in its new form. It was launched at the Automech Formula 2017 in the locally assembled version after initially being introduced as an import. 600 units of the car were sold during the first nine months of 2017, achieving sales of 850 units in 2017. Local assembly of the car was halted in early 2018, resulting in a decline in sales in 2018. The car was later introduced in two trim levels after initially being introduced in one trim level.
