Baic X7 2021 - 2023 Review

The BAIC X7 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of generating 188 hp and 275 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), the same one used in Mercedes vehicles. The transmission is smooth and performs exceptionally well.

The official fuel consumption figures for this system are approximately 6.8 liters per 100 km, and it increases to over 8 liters in actual vehicle testing. This is considered economical for a large SUV.

The X7 is also available with different driving modes (ECO, Sport, and Standard) to suit all times, roads, and occasions. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 11 seconds.

The car's drawback is that it isn't very powerful in performance, despite its advertised power output of 188 hp and 275 Nm of torque. However, the car's actual performance doesn't match the advertised power output. The steering also isn't quick and sporty.

The car's interior also offers many distinctive features that make it one of the most distinctive in its class. It features Bionic upholstery, a microfiber or leather steering wheel, touch-sensitive steering wheel switches, a multi-function steering wheel with 4-way adjustment, heated seats, sunshades with mirrors, a 12-volt front power outlet, 10 speakers, multi-color interior lighting, self-illuminating control switches, a rear storage area light, a giant sunroof, and a rear window defogger.

It also features remote control, an engine start button, and a tailgate with a smart anti-pinch sensor and a rain sensor. The driver's door window has a single key up and down with a smart anti-squeeze feature, the 4-door window has a single key up and down with a smart anti-squeeze feature, and the mirrors are electronically adjustable in reverse with heaters and locks, along with a car lock and an anti-glare rearview mirror.

It also has Nappa leather seats, front seat heaters, a front seat ventilation system, a 3-way memory driver's seat, front seat headrest adjustment, a 6-way electric driver's seat, and a 4-way electric or manual passenger seat. It features a front and rear center armrest with rear cup holders, 4/6-way folding rear seats, a rear seat that folds flat with the trunk, and adjustable rear headrests.

In terms of entertainment, the cabin offers a 12.3-inch main screen, a 7-inch screen, or a 12.3-inch screen, screen-based climate control, Wi-Fi, an internet-connected navigation system, smart voice interaction, Bluetooth keys, smart three-screen interaction, keyless entry, a remote-controlled sunroof, and a fast wireless charger.

It's not easy to find spare parts for the BAIC X7 in Egypt. If you decide to look for them at the dealership, you'll find them available, but outside the dealership and given the car's lack of popularity, it's not easy to find spare parts for it, as it's a new car on the Egyptian market on the one hand and has few sales on the other hand, which discourages many from trading in its spare parts. There are also some complaints about the lack of easy availability of spare parts at the car's dealer in Egypt.

Although the BAIC X7 is one of the most advanced cars introduced in Egypt in terms of its availability of modern technologies, including autonomous driving and other distinctive features that rely on artificial intelligence, its price, as a Chinese car at the time of its introduction in Egypt, was considered exaggerated compared to Chinese cars, despite its equipment being equipped to outperform competitors in its class, including European, Korean, and Japanese cars.

However, the car has not yet achieved the desired success and widespread popularity in Egypt. Consequently, its presence in the resale market is extremely limited, and it is rare to see it offered for sale in the used car market or on sales and social media sites, and resale itself is slow.

The vehicle has been enhanced in all its categories with a range of standard safety equipment and driver assistance systems. The BAIC X7 has been awarded a 5-star rating in the Chinese National Autonomous Vehicle Assessment Program (C-NCAP), providing the highest safety standards for all. The X7 features a robust body made of high-strength steel.

ورغم التجهيزات الكثيرة في السيارة ولكن عابها مشكلات في التعامل مع ضرورة تحديث السوفت وير لبرامج عديدة لامكانية العمل في مصر والتفعيل محلياً وكذلك عدم توفر أندرويد أوتو وتواجد اللغة الصينية في التعامل مما صعب الأمور على الكثيرين في استخدام مثل هذه التقنيات في السيارة.
