The car also offers a fuel-saving Eco mode in addition to the Sport driving modes. It offers better fuel economy than the Zotye T600 Coupe, which suffered from high fuel consumption. However, the T500's fuel consumption increases when the Sport mode is engaged or with the air conditioning on.

There are no complaints about the car's performance or engine, but performance isn't sporty, especially in Eco mode, and improves in Sport mode. This is good performance for a large, heavy crossover. The transmission response is generally good, and acceleration is good for this class.

The car is 4632 mm long, 1850 mm wide, and 1695 mm high, with a 2700 mm wheelbase. The front and rear wheelbases are 1553 and 1551 mm, respectively. The trunk capacity is 950 liters. The car can accommodate 5 and 7 seats in two configurations.

The car offers ample interior storage space, comfortable front seats, and spacious interior space for the driver and front passenger. The 5- and 7-passenger variants feature a second-row rear seat that's significantly more comfortable than the front seats, offering ample knee and headroom. The second-row sofa can be moved, both in the back and in the seat.

In the 7-passenger variant, the third row of rear seats is somewhat small and can't accommodate adult passengers. There are also no air conditioning vents in the third row.

The car's cabin features a panoramic sunroof, a push-button start with a smart key, an 8.8-inch media screen, a GPS navigation system, rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The cabin features a high driving position, with the hood visible, making it easy to control the car and good sound insulation. The interior features nickel materials, leather door upholstery, and a sporty steering wheel with leather accents.

The trunk is small because the car seats seven passengers in three rows of seats. However, when the rear row of seats is folded down, the trunk expands to 1,167 liters. The trunk in the five-passenger version is large and distinctive.

Spare parts for the Zotye T500 are not as widely available as those for Korean, Japanese, or even Chinese cars due to the parent company's discontinuation and the difficulty of importing spare parts for it. However, some dealers do provide spare parts for it, but on a limited basis and less widely available than for the Zotye T600 Coupe, which is considered more widely available and therefore has slightly better availability of spare parts.

The car comes with an independent MacPherson strut front suspension and a semi-independent torsion arm rear suspension with 18-inch wheels and 180 mm of ground clearance. The suspension is soft over bumps and potholes with a calm and comfortable ride, while the car performs well in turns at somewhat high speeds. The electronic stability system and large wheels help maintain some stability, but at high speeds, stability is not as high.

The Zotye T500's resale value isn't strong, but rather limited, as the car hasn't sold as many and hasn't achieved the same popularity as the more popular Zotye T600 Coupe. However, what's unique about the Zotye T500 is that many owners confirm that it has far fewer problems and faults than the Zotye T600 Coupe, despite the fact that its design isn't better. Ultimately, resale value isn't good, due to the lack of spare parts and limited availability, without the lack of faults making up for it.
