Chevrolet launched its compact youth car, the Spark Light, in Egypt in 2014 after withdrawing from the Egyptian market. The company returned with better equipment, making it more competitive in the small, economical car segment with low operating costs. The car was introduced in Egypt while maintaining its maneuverability and traffic-relief advantages, despite its small size. The Spark is a distinctive city car based on the Daewoo Matiz and is available as a five-door hatchback. The 2014 revamped Spark Light was introduced in Egypt at a price of EGP 73,000, with a warranty of up to 3 years or 100,000 km.
