Mansour Automotive Company offered the Chevrolet Equinox models in Egypt for a short period. The car was introduced in 2018 in two trim levels:

at a price of EGP 539,000

The second trim level was priced at EGP 569,000.

In 2019, prices for the first trim of the Chevrolet Equinox stabilized at EGP 539,900, the second trim level was estimated at EGP 569,900, and the third trim level, the LT, was introduced at EGP 580,000. According to reports issued by the Automotive Market Information Council (AMIC), total sales of the Chevrolet Equinox reached 112 vehicles during the first 10 months of 2019. The car was discontinued in Egypt after the launch of the Chevrolet Captiva models, due to the Equinox being imported from Mexico, which faced high customs barriers and difficulties in providing price subsidies, as is the case with the Captiva.

The car was launched in Egypt with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine that produces 170 hp and 275 Nm of torque. This is the same engine found in the Opel Insignia. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds with front-wheel drive, and a top speed of 199 km/h. A 56-liter fuel tank is available.

The car's transmission is conventional, hassle-free, and delivers good performance. Acceleration is also good for its class. Both the engine and transmission have modest running costs. As for the car's engine performance, it's average, not as powerful or dynamic as other models like the Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sportage. Average fuel consumption is around 8.1 km/h over distances of up to 100 km, which is considered average fuel consumption and increases with greater pressure on the accelerator pedal.

These are good dimensions for a car, providing ample interior space. Given its large size, it feels like a seven-passenger car. It's a suitable family car.

The rear space is good and spacious for passengers, with sufficient legroom between the front seats and the rear seats. It also has a rear center armrest and non-controlled rear air conditioning with a rear power outlet. The middle seat in the rear seat is also comfortable, as there is no high transmission tunnel, making the seating position for the driver and all passengers comfortable. As for the interior materials, the plastic materials are good in the doors and in some parts, but not good in others. The plastic materials can be given an average rating, while the leather materials inside are scarce. The car also features a sunroof, a steering wheel, cruise control, and a multi-function steering wheel with audio and media control buttons. The dashboard also features good gauges, traction and stability control, and buttons for lighting and the front and rear fog lights.

The interior also features a console with a large storage space without a wireless charger. Rear parking sensors, a high-quality rear camera, cup holders, an electric parking brake, and storage space next to the driver in the armrest are also available. The interior of the car provides good visibility for the driver.

As for cabin insulation, it offers good sound insulation, but you can feel wind noise at speeds of 130 to 140 km/h. Tire noise and floor insulation are noticeable at 80 to 90 km/h. Heat insulation is also good. The car's interior screen is simple and doesn't have many functions.

The car's air conditioning is good, but it takes some time to cool down a large car. Despite the car's spaciousness, its interior design doesn't have the same luxurious feel as some competitors.

The steering is also good and smooth in the city, although it may need to be heavier on highways to allow for better control.
