Changan V7 2015-2019

The Changan V7 was launched in Egypt as a family sedan in 2016 and was discontinued in 2018. The car came with a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty. The Changan V7 is a compact sedan suitable for families and is known as the predecessor of the Eado DT. The Changan V7 was offered in Egypt in one automatic version. The car was scheduled to be assembled in the Egyptian market in 2019 alongside the Changan CS35.

The Changan V7's agent is Arab Motors, a subsidiary of Saudi Investment Group, before the agency was transferred to GB Auto. The new V7, the Eado DT, was scheduled to be assembled, but this did not happen.

Regarding pricing, the V7 was available for approximately EGP 132,000 until its last availability at EGP 132,000. 195,000 Egyptian pounds in the Egyptian market, which is a competitive price even though the car was imported.

The car is powered by a 1.6-liter, 16-valve, 4-cylinder engine with 125 hp at 6,000 rpm, Bluecolor technology, and a maximum torque of 156 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It is mated to a 4-speed or 5-speed Steptronic transmission with front-wheel drive. A 45-liter fuel tank is available. The car achieves a fuel consumption of 6.5 liters per 100 km, which is very economical. It is also offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The engine is powerful, offers great fuel efficiency, and good performance, with no overall complaints from owners. The car's engine delivers economical performance, and as a result, there's a slight delay in response in Eco mode. In Sport mode, performance improves, and the engine is generally active and distinctive.

The car's transmission, however, has a significant delay in responding to shifts, whether in Eco or Sport mode.

The Changan V7 measures 4.530 mm in length, 1.745 mm in width, 1.498 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2.610 mm. The trunk can hold 460 liters of luggage.

The car also offers a comfortable ride, demonstrated by a dynamic adjustable steering wheel system with a multi-function remote, central locking, remote trunk release, keyless entry, and a push-button start.

The car has a beautiful design with familiar lines and a harmonious design. The interior is European in appearance, with piano touches around the gearshift, clear gauges with blue accents, an elegant screen, and a raised engine button.

The materials are plastic, but this is appropriate for its price, and it is among the best materials in its price category.

The interior spaces are suitable and spacious, and the space between the driver and front passenger is adequate, and the driver's seat is comfortable. It accommodates it comfortably. The rear seat is quite spacious, and the distance between the rear and front seats is adequate and good, and the transmission tunnel isn't too high. Storage space is good in the cabin and in the trunk.

However, the driver's seat is a bit uncomfortable and dry, and it needed more flexibility.

Many Changan V7 owners complain about the difficulty of finding spare parts for them, while others confirm that spare parts are available in specific locations in Tawfikiya and Al-Harfiyyin, but it requires some searching, as imported parts can be found. Some owners also confirmed that they have succeeded in matching some parts and spare parts from other Korean cars, such as the Hyundai New Accent, Esperanza 516, Fiat Grand Punto, and Mazda 3.

The Changan V7 offers excellent road stability even above 180 km/h, according to some users. The car's stability is good at medium speeds, especially when compared to the previous model. The car has a soft suspension that addresses road imperfections, absorbs bumps and potholes, and doesn't tire the driver or passengers.

The car's stability is neither flexible nor rigid, but it provides good stability without floating on the road. However, it requires some effort to handle.

The Changan V7 is one of the cars that have been discontinued in the Egyptian market due to the change of agent and the introduction of newer models, turning it into a part of the used market. However, it is not an active part as there are not many known copies of it for sale in the used market in Egypt. The most famous model in the used market is the 2017 model, and there is not much demand for it in the used market due to its short period of time in Egypt, as it lasted from 2016 to 2018. Also, its agent was not a strong agent, and therefore, despite the quality of the car, it did not continue in Egypt for many reasons, including the lack of a strong agent. However, the Changan V7 is considered good value for the price, as it provides many luxuries and safety features that sometimes outperform cars of a higher class and price.

The car's safety features are numerous and varied, including: Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist, Two Front Airbags, Rear Child Safety Lock, Child Seat Mounting, Anti-theft System, Front and Rear Seatbelts, Front Fog Lights, Rear Fog Lights, and Alarm. The car's drawbacks include only two front airbags, with no side or rear passenger protection. It also lacks modern safety features such as blind spot monitoring, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, and more. Despite this, it offers some of the best safety features in its price range, and a Traction Control System (TCS) has also been added.
