Bavarian Automobiles Company in Egypt introduced the fifth generation of the new 5 Series at that time, which was available from the 2004 models to the 2010 models. The car was available in its 520i, 525i and 530i models. The 5 Series represents a combination of emotion, logic and technology. The car comes with a sporty, streamlined design, sporty headlights and a distinctive front grille. The front part of the car was made entirely of aluminum to ensure the highest degree of flexibility and control when passing curves. The weight of the car was also reduced to reduce fuel consumption. The 5 Series was launched in Egypt with six-cylinder engines. The first is a 2171 cc, 170 hp, 520i with 155 lb-ft of torque, enabling the car to reach a top speed of 230 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds.

The 525i model is equipped with a 2494 cc, 192 hp, 181 lb-ft of torque, a top speed of 238 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

The third version, the 530i, comes with a 2979 cc, 231 hp, 221 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 250 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.

The engines feature good fuel consumption, strict carbon emissions standards, smooth operation, and responsiveness to various driving styles. The car also comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which reduces fuel consumption.

The car also features a new optional system, the Dynamic Driving Assist, which reduces body roll during turns, allowing the driver to benefit from agility and steering, while providing a comfortable and luxurious ride. However, there have been some complaints about the car's suspension and problems with parts that require regular replacement, while the rest of the components are considered durable.

Although it is a luxury car, it loses approximately 10 to 15 thousand pounds annually in resale. The Mercedes E-Class is slightly better in resale price, and its price is more stable than BMW versions. The 525 Executive is considered the best version in resale in terms of demand and price. There are also price differences between some models. The 2007 models differ from the 2008 models by a difference of 25 thousand pounds less due to improvements to the 2008 models.

The 530 versions of the car are less available in the market and more difficult to resell due to the lack of high demand for them, but the price is reasonable.
